"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32
"Am I the only one who sees the irony of what has happened here tonight? We have one group of sinners trying to kick another group of sinners out of the very place where we are trying to invite all sinners to attend.”

The "Progress" of TRBC in the Last Ten Years (11 KB)
Recently, someone said that our group was "destroying what we built over the last ten years". Let's just take a 22 point look at how TRBC has progressed over the last ten years. This information was compiled using church and various Baptist associations supplied data. We didn't make these figures up. The results are not something to be proud of. Oh, and keep in mind that the dictionary defines the verb "build" as to "increase" and "enlarge".

Fly the Friendly Skies (at Church Expense) - March 2006 (232 KB)
Jerry Sutton purchased a $590 ticket to fly to Lynchburg, VA on 03/06/06, we assume to visit his daughters who were attending Liberty University. Then, on 03/24/06, both of his daughters IN ADDITION TO THE BOYFRIENDS OF BOTH DAUGHTERS were flown to Nashville from Lynchburg at church expense which totaled over $2076. Think about this - what could that $2076 plus the $590 that Jerry spent ($2666 total) have bought for a missionary in Africa or some other 3rd world country? Does your business pay for your kids and their boyfriends/girlfriends to fly in for visits? Does your business pay for you to fly out and visit your kids? Look this credit card statement over carefully. This is just one of dozens with examples of wasteful overspending by the Senior Pastor.
- TRBC "Squeaky Clean" Audit for 2007
(19 KB)
The Senior Pastor has more than one occasion used the term "Squeaky Clean" to describe the church audit findings from the end of fiscal year 2007. We think that this document will show that the audit found several troubling areas. Why did the Senior Pastor use this term when obviously the audit was not "Squeaky Clean"?
- The Destin, FL MegaChurch Conference - April 2006
(158 KB)
Why is our pastor attending MegaChurch conferences when TRBC no longer meets the definition of a "megachurch" and continues to decline in membership? Also, why did the Senior Pastor's wife fly home at church expense?
- Interesting Facts About Our Church Expenditures
(12 KB)
Do you know that we paid musicians over $45,000 to play their instruments last year? What ever happened to donating your talent, especially when the church is in financial trouble?
- Statistics for the Last 10 Years
(8 KB)
The actual facts show church membership declining while staff salaries are increasing. Companies run this way soon go out of business.
- The Brian Webb Story
(18 KB)
A tragic tale of over $28,000 in non-salary expenditures for a former staff member who only stayed six months - and no one can show who approved this debacle.
- TRBC By-Laws (Pre Jerry Sutton)
(569 KB)
The By-Laws approved by the church body less than one year before Jerry Sutton came to TRBC.
- TRBC By-Laws (Current)
(444 KB)
The By-Laws changed by Jerry Sutton after his arrival.
